Written by Shawn Miller

Black Iris is a story about a young girl named Isabelle Moralis, or Izzy, who is grappling with her place in the world. She has an embarrassing aunt who is also a superhero named Black Iris, and while Izzy is proud of her aunt's heroic actions, she's unsure if she wants to follow in her footsteps. However, when Black Iris takes on Izzy as her new sidekick, Izzy must confront her own identity and potential.

As Izzy trains to become the next Black Iris, she discovers that being a superhero is not just about fighting crime and saving lives. It's also about finding yourself and learning how to make a real difference in the world. With her aunt's guidance, Izzy learns to embrace her powers and prepares for the day she will take on the mantle of Black Iris. Along the way, she encounters new allies and dangerous foes and must navigate the challenges of being a teenage girl while saving the world.
