Radio Tribe Productions is revisiting Weekend Warriors, a comic supernatural short built around fast-food jobs, bad decisions, angelic possession, and a very inconvenient brush with the dark arts.
The original concept centered on two co-workers comparing notes after a strange weekend: one has dabbled in forbidden magic, the other has been possessed by the Archangel Michael. From that simple conversation, the story opens into a ridiculous clash between infernal ambition and divine intervention.
The reboot keeps the spirit of the original while expanding the world around it. Jack and Ronni are now part of a larger workplace comedy setting, surrounded by bad management, awkward co-workers, questionable choices, and supernatural forces that have no business getting involved in restaurant scheduling.
One of the fun parts of revisiting the material is finding ways to preserve the scrappy, absurd energy of the earlier version while giving the characters more room to breathe. The reboot allows the conflict between Jack and Ronni to feel more personal, the workplace dynamics to become sharper, and the magical escalation to build into something bigger and stranger.
At its core, Weekend Warriors is still a comedy about ordinary people who stumble into extraordinary forces and handle them with exactly the wrong level of maturity.
