New York Film & Actress Awards Winter 2025. Shayla received two awards from the New York Film & Actress Awards: Winner, Best Visual Effects and Winner, Best Young Actress for Keira Davies.

Couch Film Festival June 21, 2025. Shayla was named Winner, Best Coming-of-Age Film at the Couch Film Festival.

Black August Film Festival August 15–17, 2025. Shayla was an Official Selection of the Black August Film Festival in Pasadena, California, adding another meaningful screening to the film’s festival run.

Windsor International Black Film Festival August 15–17, 2025. Shayla screened as an Official Selection at the Windsor International Black Film Festival and received several honors, including Winner, Best Editing, Nominee, Best Short Film, and Nominee, Best Actress for Keira Davies.

Tacoma Film Festival October 12 and October 15, 2025. Shayla screened as an Official Selection at the Tacoma Film Festival, with screenings at The Grand Cinema in Tacoma, Washington. This was a special Northwest appearance for the film and an opportunity to connect with a regional audience close to home.

European Short Awards October 25, 2025. Shayla was an Official Selection and Nominee for Best VFX at the European Short Awards in London, England.

Universal Kids Film Festival October 25–30, 2025. Shayla was selected as an Official Selection of the Universal Kids Film Festival in Istanbul, Turkey.

Tri-Cities International Film Festival November 7–9, 2025. Shayla was selected as an Official Selection of the Tri-Cities International Film Festival in Richland, Washington.

Washington Underground Film Festival 2025. Shayla received an Honorable Mention from the Washington Underground Film Festival.

Hawaii International Film Awards 2025. Shayla was recognized as a Semi-Finalist at the Hawaii International Film Awards.

Oregon Short Film Festival Winter 2026 January 18, 2026. Shayla screened at the Clinton Street Theater in Portland, Oregon as an Official Selection of the Oregon Short Film Festival Winter 2026. The film won Best Drama Film, ranked 38th out of 230 submissions, and received an overall score of 86/100.

Denton Black Film Festival February 1–8, 2026. Shayla was an Official Selection of the Denton Black Film Festival and screened virtually as part of the festival.
